On a sour note, Napp's back is still causing him problem. Although the severe pain that he has been experiencing for several months is in his leg, the issue stems from an inflamed spinal nerve and a bulging disc. The disc and nerve are hitting each other, hence the excruciating pain. Napp's been handling it like a trooper. To look at him, you'd seldom realize that he is in continuous pain. Hopefully, today will be the start of some relief. He was able to score a same-day appointment for a steroid injection (his new doctor is heralded as one of the "most respected men in Charleston"). He has had two similar injections while we lived in Corpus. We are hoping that the third time is the charm. We'll keep you posted on the process. The picture above is of Napp filling out a form in the doctor's office. I know, not very exciting, but so many of you requested to see pix of us in addition to the kids and they wouldn't let me photograph the procedure, so this will have to do as documentation.
I've also included a picture of Zayden who waited in the office with me. You can tell by his expression that it was not a thrilling afternoon. Xylie, however, had lots of fun. She got to stay home with two new baby-sitters. We have two sweet college students who live next door. They are best friends and both looking for extra cash so we got two babysitters for the price of one today. But to Xylie, they aren't baby-sitters, they are her new friends. And believe me, she had them playing with her all afternoon! I've also attached a photo of me, again, on
Hope you all have a great evening. My next post should come out later this week and focus on Xylie.
