Catching my breath

The title is literal in some ways as I have had a chest cold this week, but I am on the mend. Additionally, I've been helping Napp with some projects and allowing Xylie to have a little more computer time, so my blogging opportunities seem to have dwindled. I hope to get back into the writing groove after the first of the 2008.

Some Updates:

My brother Nik got engaged on Thanksgiving Day to his girlfriend Maria. Maria and Nik, who met earlier this year have an emotional story behind their romance. (Many of you remember praying for Nik two years ago when he was in a near fatal motorcycle accident.) As he was in the hospital fighting for his life, Maria, was widowed. It is sweet to hear how God brought them together and grew beauty where there was once sorrow. To the left is a picture of Nik with his new family Maria, son Elijah (10) and daughter Izzy (5).


I've also been wanting to include some pictures of my sister Crystal with her daughter, Ellie. Ellie will be two-years-old in February and from what I hear is a lot like Xylie! Maybe they'll run a party-planning business together someday. Which reminds me...if Xylie tells you she wants to be a "Party Girl" when she grows up, relax, I am not raising the next Paris Hilton. She means that she wants to be a professional party planner, like Cathy Riva, who is the star of the show "Party Girl" on the Discovery Home channel.

We leave for Georgia tomorrow morning and will return on Sunday. Hopefully I'll have some good pictures to post when we return.
