Party Girl

Ever since we started to plan Xylie's "Little Mermaid" themed birthday party the above lyrics have been dancing in my head. I'm still singing it and the party ended four hours ago. Xylie and her friends colored pictures, ate cupcakes, and frolicked at a simple yet fun celebration. Xylie felt very special and enjoyed her time in the spotlight. Poor little Zayden missed the festivities...he stayed home to nap (Napp and his mother took turns staying with him).
Xylie also enjoyed having Nannie and Gramps come from Georgia to help her celebrate. She's spending the night with them at a hotel in downtown Charleston and I know that tomorrow will be a tough day for her as they head home. Her favorite part about the hotel room is a Jacuzzi tub that she calls a "bubble tub." She stayed with them last night and told her Nannie that she was going to stay in that tub all day. Ahhh, my girl knows the true meaning of luxury. Here are some pictures from the party.

This is a cupcake cake...I highly recommend these for birthday parties. I didn't need to mess with a knife or serving sizes. I just pulled and served.
