Conversations from the Infirmary

Here are some oddball conversations that took place in our home this morning.

Time - 6:45 AM
Scene - Zayden in his crib, Xylie playing on the floor close by
Participants - Xylie age 4 and Zayden age 10 months

Zayden - "Mama?"

Xylie: "Mommy's coming little Zayden. It's OK. She's just going pee-pee on the potty."

Zayden: "Ahhhhhh" (rather loud and annoyed)

Xylie: Sigh "OK little buddy, here's another toy. Just be patient OK?"

Zayden: "Gaahhhhh...Drrrrrrr....AhhYaYaya ya!" (Very loud)

Xylie: "Oh Zayden!"

Zayden: "AHHHHHHHHHHHH" (sound barrier breaking)

Xylie: "Now Zayden, that's enough! You are hurting my ears."

Zayden: "Mama, mama, ma ma ma ma maaaa" (Soft, almost defeated tone)

Xylie: "Oh Zayden, you just don't understand." Sigh.

Time: 7:03 AM
Scene: Zayden and mommy lying on the sofa bed while Zayden drinks his morning bottle; Xylie dancing around; Napp slogging through his morning laps.

Participants: Mommy, Zayden, Xylie and Napp

Xylie: "Mommy, do you want to be Sleeping Beauty or Ariel?"

Mommy: "I'll be Sleeping Beauty later. I have a fun idea for you now."

Zayden: "Slurp, slurp"

Xylie: "What mommy?" (Curious)

Mommy: "I need to wash your bed sheets today. Would you like to pull them off your bed and make a house with them on your floor? You can use you're pillows too!"

Zayden: "Ahhhhh" (He dropped his bottle)

Xylie: "YES, yes yes! That is a wonderful fun idea!" (She quickly runs to her bedroom to commence the fun)

Napp: (As he saunters past with a smirk) "Sneaky."
