Despite fighting some type of virus (or perhaps it is also a reaction to a medication I recently started) we had a fabulous weekend.
On Saturday morning, Z-man and I went to our church to decorate for the MOPS banquet. The Professor and Pumpkindoodle attended a continental breakfast at our apartment complex. In the afternoon, Pumpkindoodle and I went to a Tinkerbell themed birthday party at a "Castle Park." The entire family of the birthday girl dressed in character.
Saturday evening marked the long-anticipated MOPS banquet. I was so blessed to be a part of this MOPS group if only for a short time. The banquet surpassed expectations. The talent show portion was fun and entertaining, the MC's did a great job keeping the pace and introducing the acts and the door prizes were fabulous. I won two passes to an aquarium and a carriage ride for two! I'm very excited. The beautiful ladies in my pictures with me are my friends Annie (who did an amazing job as the banquet chair) and Michaele.

Above is my friend Jeanette who needs to audition for American Idol and below is my friend Robin who needs to audition for Last Comic Standing. Her near death experience about nearly being crushed to by elephants and then knocked over and nearly trampled upon by a group of angry French Clowns was the most hysterical story I have ever heard. Oh, Jeanette and Robin are not real Oompaah Loompah's the lighting just made these lovely gals appear orange in photos.
Yesterday, of course, was Mother's Day. We really had a low key day, but I enjoyed spending time with my family and watching Z-man try more steps. The Professor and Pumpkindoodle made me a very yummy French Toast breakfast. I will confess though that I usually have Mother's Day guilt. Does anyone else experience this? On Mother's Day I want to be treated like a queen and do anything but mother.
The antique stop watch that Z-man is walking toward once belonged to The Professor's grandfather. It was used to help teach N. how to walk and now being used for his little guy. Isn't that so sweet?

So there you have it, my uncreative rewind. I cannot believe how yucky I've been feeling...I'm in a pretty constant state of nausea (nope not pregnant...I promise...but I even took a test to rule that out because I have been feeling so queasy and exhausted.).
Hopefully I'll get some time to write when I'm feeling better.

Hope you're feeling better soon! Fabulous pictures!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Your little ones are so cute! I know what you mean about being treated like a queen on Mother's Day. My 4 year old reminded me that next is Father's day and her daddy wouldn't have to do anything on HIS day!
Fun pictures! Hope you're soon back to normal!
And yeah, I waffle on Mother's Day between guilt that I'm not near the mom I should be and wanting to be treated like the Queen Bee! Glad it's done for another year, except for the delicious dinner at Outback!! :-)
Linda - It is scary how much I have in common with someone I never met. LOL. My guilt is similar to yours.
love the pictures!
Hope you feel better soon. Some medicines I have taken before made me queasy - hopefully that is it and it will pass soon. We love you!! See you soon -
Thank you so much for all your help with the banquet! You were so great! I think a career in Paula impersinations would work for you. :) Can you e-mail me that picture of us? When I save it from your blog the resolution isn't high enough and it is blurry.
I am with you on not wanting to do anything on Mother's Day. I also request numerous back rubs from my baby daddy. lol I just don't have any guilt about it. Now I feel guilty about not having guilt. haha
I hope you get to feeling better! Let me know if I can do anything for you.
Looks like such a great time! I'm glad to get the link to your personal blog.
What a cute themed birthday! Your MOPS group looks like a ton of fun, too!
Okay, you guys need to bring that watch over here and teach my Abigail to walk!!!
