Thankful

I've been complaining a lot this week. I'm not trying to be a whiner...but a lot of yucky stuff has happened. However, some blessings have come as well.

Friendship is one of those blessings. This morning, I needed to get my car to the mechanic. I was sure I knew where this mechanic was located so I didn't ask them for directions. My friend Annie, met me at my place and my neighbor and friend Leanna, stayed at my apartment with a very sick and sleeping Z-man who took at 4.5 hour nap today. Bless his sick little heart.

With our hazard lights on and driving just 30mph, Annie and I drove to where I thought the mechanic was. After several stops and a panic attack later, the guys at an Auto store let me borrow a phone book and I found out that the mechanic was not at all where I thought he was. But I found him, and Annie was so sweet and gracious to me the whole time. I totally messed up her morning plans and just wanted to cry, but she kept smiling and encouraging me. Such a blessing!

Also, I just found out I am late to wish a special Happy Anniversary to my dear cousin Kelly. She and her husband Keith just celebrated 18 years of marriage. They are truly an amazing couple and I have such fond memories of their lovely wedding.

Thanks to all of you who have been concerned for me. I'm really fine and Z-man is doing so much better and honestly, I'm tired, but my heart is thankful.
