Whenever, if ever, I find my USB cord so I can download pix into my computer's hard drive, you will be in for a treat! I have so many cute pictures of the kids.
Today, we played at a wonderful park that sits about a mile from our apartment. It's one of those neat castle parks and the kids love it. And when I write we played...I mean all three of us played.
The X- Factor ran off on her own looking for new friends. She dressed like a Bumble Bee today (sort of...yellow and black) so I could easily spot her.
Z-man felt that his 16-month-old wobbling self was too mature for the tot-lot designed especially for 2-5 yr-olds. He was determined to explore the 5-12 yr-old castle land. Obviously, he could not be left to do this alone, so I followed...and had a blast. I love playscapes, especially on a cool morning. Unfortunately, adults who play on playscapes are frowned upon...unless said adult is following her child.
My boy impressed me today. He climbed up steps that were half the size of his height. Not only that, he climbed into a tunneled slide before I could catch him. No problem...he slid down on his belly, leaped to the ground and was ready to go again, and again, and again.
A few moms of tender little girls shot me a few suspicious glances as if to say, "Ahem..don't you know he is still a baby and is too young for this side of the playground?" I too had those thoughts when I was the mother of just one sweet girly-girl. Now I understand that trying to tell a little boy to stop climbing is like telling him to stop breathing. That line is not my own. My friend Lisa told me so, and she knows better than I do because she has four boys.

Boys sure are different from girls. I had three younger brothers so I knew this, but I saw it first hand after my son was born. He is so daring sometimes it scares me. I can see the mom's of little girls holding their breath. lol
Having had 3 girls and now a little boy - I totally agree! There's no stopping my little monkey - I'm usually found pulling him off the kitchen table and out of the pots and pans. The park sounds like our usual scenario too :) I think we are on the mend - thanks!
Glad to pass on what (very little) wisdom raising four boys who are (miraculously) still breathing (and climbing) has afforded...
