When I was four-years-old, I had a mini crush on "John Gage" from the show Emergency. I also loved watching the Incredible Hulk, and was privy to the life stories of many characters on The Young and the Restless.
In short, kids pick up on the interests of their parents. Being the daughter of parents who are interested in politics, history, cooking, event plannin
g, etc, the X-Factor recognizes the faces of Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, Kathy Riva, and presidential candidates.
Tis the season for politics, thus X-Factor has been tuning into (more carefully than we thought) to the news and political conventions. While at the office of our dog's vet, X pulled out an issue of Time Magazine and announced, "Look Mommy, John McCain!!" Later that day, I heard her saying,
Barack Obama, Barack Obama, Barack Obama....and so on.
When I asked her why she kept saying his name she replied, "Because it is fun to say. And, I hear that name A LOT! Everyone says, BarackObama!"
I also find it cute that she can identify the difference between Fox News and CNN.
If you ask her to name the President of the United States, she'll smile and say "George W. Bush."
The girl knows her stuff, however that was not always the case. A few months ago she passed the card isle in the grocery store and pulled out a card featuring the 43rd president.
"Look Mommy, Look! It's Mr. Rogers!"

Too cute!! The resemblance between George W. and Mr. Rogers is quite alarming...LOL!
Have you ever notice how much presidents age during their time in office? It's scary.
Yeah...after the baseball game last week in Atlanta, LaneBug would randomly shout "COLD BEER - GET YOUR COLD BEER HERE".....nice one. I suppose since he heard it about a ga-jillion times he thought it was worth repeating himself. Hope it doesn't come out tonight at church..... :)
Thanks for making me spit out my coffee! That is hysterical
That is so funny!
Ha ha ha!!! That's funny!
Hi there!
I'm new to your blog! I have a little guy who's 3 and he's the same way. He says Barak Obama all the time. I think he hears it on tv and just repeats it. It's funny.
I love your fun blog! I'm sure I'll be visiting again.
