Mrs. N's Health Update

Most of you know that I have been struggling with extreme fatigue and joint pain.

After myriad tests I have been diagnosed with Subecute Hypothyroidism. It will need to be treated with medication.

And after some additional testing for Rheumatoid Arthritis, the results are inconclusive/probable. Yeah, I'm not 100 percent sure what that means either. Basically, the docs think that I do have the very early stages of RA, but that it is not yet registering on the blood work...so treatment is optional. I'm leaning toward not treating something without a clear diagnosis.

For now, Celebrex is helping with the pain. I will also see a Rheumatologist. It very well could be nothing other than a bad case of tendonitis.

Thanks for caring!

I will keep you and your doc in my prayers as you get closer to a specific diagnosis. Hang in there :)

i am glad you have a diagnosis at least for the fatigue. i do hope and continue to pray that the medicine works to keep the pain at bay. i also hope that you get something conclusive for the possible RA diagnosis.. something that you can then comfortably work with for treatment.

I'm happy to know they can do something for your pain, but so sorry you have to go through this.
