this is SO interesting - I'll have to think on this and get back to you at the end of the day. I personally just need to think on this 24/7 so that I can be absolutely sure of a good response. with all due respect, I cannot think of a phrase so quickly.

Good post honey.

"You're Fired"

"Gonna give him a piece of my mind"

"Getter done"

"Elvis has left the building"

"More fun than a barrel of Monkeys"

"Best thing since sliced bread"

"Drill Baby Drill"

"Love the sinner, hate the sin" (There's truth to it, but still the phrase bugs me)

"I'm sorry, but..."

Tracy,

You shouldn't of. With all due respect, I personally think your response is fairly unique, but others may find that it's a nightmare, at this moment in time.

With all due respect, I personally think Tracy's response was GENIUS - it's still not rocket science though. At the end of the day, I am absolutely jealous that I didn't get the opportunity to do it first :) Being a smart fanny is something I enjoy 24/7!!!!

This isn't actually a phrase but what is up with people over using the word "so"? For example, "I am so going to that party!" or "I am so loving this icecream!" Ugh, it drives me crazy. Has anyone else noticed this trend or am I the only one?

Maranda,

I have so noticed this trend and I am soooo going to research when it started. I so think it started back in the mid 90's because I remember hearing one of my friends use it when our play practice was extended. She said, "We so do not need this right now."

I so do not wish to irritate you, but so need to make a confession...

I'm so guilty of using the word so in the manner that drives you so bonkers.

I wonder if there is, like, another word that's like more irritating than like so?

People around here say "Anywhoo" when starting a sentence...drives me nuts.

"There's somthing I'd like to talk to you about..."

I say "Ya know" and "like" and "so" and "totally" all the time and it is annoying :) I also say "for real" ...I'm a valley girl living in IA...
