Last night our family had a blast at our church's Fall Festival. It was a Wild West Theme. Zayden was dressed as a pirate and Xylie was an adorable Tinkerbell. I even dressed up a bit because I was helping out for an hour at one of the preschool games representing our MOPS group. Since it was a Western theme I put some braids in my hair, wore jeans, a white shirt and a red bandanna. You'd like coming from Texas that I'd have better Western wear!
Zayden wasn't too impressed, but he hung in there and gave out his signature grin to all who requested it.
The night really belonged to Xylie who got to ride a horse, paint a pumpkin (I must brag...her pumpkin turned out soooo cute), play numerous games, and fill her belly with nachos, popcorn and candy. Not her usual diet, but she wasn't complaining.
Our church really went all out for this event. The whole thing was free. They even had a professional photographer (my friend Jaime) take pictures of everyone who arrived. I am so looking forward to getting ours in the mail.
I really enjoyed being stationed at the "Round UP" game and helping little kids "Lasso" a runaway pony. The lasso was actually a hula hoop.
Boy, this has been an exciting weekend and it is not yet over. I'm loving it!
