Picture post and some random facts

So far I have been the only one in my family to escape sickness. Although I was sick in PA for a few days...perhaps it all began with me? Sweet Zayden Penn has a mild cold. He was up most of the night nursing. My hope is that if I eat a diet with extra vitamins that he'll heal faster. Right now, he is in good spirits playing in his saucer and listening to music. Xylie has also healed and Napp is about 80% there. I think...needless to say, we won't be at church today, which makes me sad.

I am looking to hire a Mommy's Helper for about 4 hours a day one day a week. It is a paid position, but will not make anyone rich. My hope is to find a mature Home-schooled student, a college student or perhaps an "empty-nester" who is missing little ones and could use a little extra cash. The person needs to be a Christian, comfortable around kids (especially babies) and a non smoker. To have the opportunity to hire someone was actually given to me as a gift. Basically, I am looking for someone to help me with household duties, organization, childcare, etc. It's also part of my "recovery plan." If you live in the area and are interested or know someone who may be interested, please let me know of pass this information along.

PapPap is going to church today! He will be able to sit in a large wheel chair and be transported to the church. I really wish I could be there for this. My mom is really looking forward to taking him. I am sure it will be an emotional moment. If any of you would like to send a card to my PapPap, let me know and I will send you an address.

Now for the picture show:Xylie on Thanksgiving day "reading" the kid's page of the newspaper. We volunteered to read it to her but she refused, "it is just for kids!"Zayden playing with our friend Barbara after Thanksgiving dinner. He needed a clothing change after the dinner (even though he didn't eat any of the traditional stuff).

Barbara's mother with her youngest daughter, Maddie who is just one-month older than Z-man.

Hostess Karen Gilchrist with youngest son, Ethan.
This is what happens when you hand someone a fairly complicated camera and ask "Can you please snap a few pictures for me while I go upstairs and feed Zayden?" Not very smart of me. The person tried her best and apologized to me, even though I was clearly the culprit. I thought this picture of Ted Gilchrist was too funny not to include and I know he has the sense of humor to take it. If you don't believe me, check out his blog.
(He's from PA - his wife Karen is from VA--two states I hold dear)
