Meeting Mike Huckabee

This evening, our family went to Charleston to attend a Mike Huckabee endorsement rally. We almost had to leave early because Gov. Huckabee did not arrive on schedule and neither Xylie nor Zayden understood that they could have been experiencing a very significant historical event.

Mrs. Huckabee came first and she loved Zayden. Although he was having a crying fit, she picked him up and we got some photos of them together. She was so tender with him and Xylie.

On the way out it looked like we missed a photo op with the Gov. but I stood beside Mrs. Hukabee, thanked her and then told her that I had hoped to get a picture with her husband, but we were too late. She grabbed Xylie's hand and said "C'mon with me!"

What I really like about Huckabee in addition to the fact that he is a Christian is that he is so real and in touch with people. And he is also very intelligent and well spoken. He can handle his own in a debate with Clinton, but also have a conversation with anyone on the street.
Politically, I like his stance on immigration, the environment and Life beginning at conception. I am still reading more about the "fair tax" and am not 100% sure where I stand on that issue. But all-in-all, I think that Mike Huckabee would make an outstanding president and could really take on Hillary Clinton if she wins the democratic ticket.

Oh, I almost forgot, Napp was interviewed for the local newspaper regarding his thoughts on Huckabee.

Even funnier...as Xylie was getting bored, there was an event being set up in the hall way. Xylie wsa really acting up and I had an idea. I introduced her to event coordinator. I told her that she was a party planner. Xylie shook her hand. It was so sweet. The event planner's name was Betsy and Xylie told her about wanting to be a party planner when she's a grown up. She also asked Betsy if she knew Cathy Riva!!

That is really cool. :)
Also, I am sure with Napp you have plenty of books on things like this, but Brian, my husband, has a book on the "fair tax," and it has convinced him that it is a good thing. I don't know enough about it to have an opinion.
