The title is a direct quote from Xylie who was talking about her homemade fruit smoothie. She got a "Mommy & Me" cookbook for Christmas and I got a blender so put us together and we make one mean smoothie in less than 2 minutes.
I doctored the recipe some to fit the ingredients we had on hand.
1 cup crushed ice (I just crushed some in large chunks in the food processor first)
1/2 cup frozen blueberries (recipe called for fresh strawberries)
1 med. banana
1 cup apple juice -- all natural no sugar added
1/2 cup non fat plain yogurt (recipe called for 1 scoop of frozen yogurt or vanilla ice cream--I think the regular yogurt was just as good).
Pour all ingredients in the blender and blend on medium speed for 15-30 seconds. Pour and enjoy! Yummo!
The best part is that Xylie and I made them together. She used a plastic butter knife to cut the banana into slices. She also pour the ingredients into the blender.
I concur that the smoothie tasted yummy (and very healthy)and I am not a big fan of blueberries! Clean up is pretty easy as well. We went to the park today (The "big freeze" seems to have passed us now as it is 72 degrees outside--yeah) so the smoothies were a great snack to have after some serious playtime.
