Movie Critic

Still running a low-grade fever Xylie is getting lots of rest and watching myriad movies this weekend. Today she viewed Disney's Aladdin for the first time. Here's our conversation following today's popcornless popcorn show (we refer to family movie time as popcorn shows--since she's not feeling well, she vetoed the popcorn).

Me: "Did you enjoy the movie?"

Xylie: "Yes"

Me: "What was your favorite part of the movie?"

Xylie: "I liked the ending best because it was nice and everybody got happy."

Me: "Were there parts of the movie that you did not like?"

Xylie: "Uh...the mean man. I don't like mean things. And some parts were scary. Oh, and there was too much of Aladdin kissing Jasmine. One kiss is nice but all that kissing is just yucky!"

Ahhh, if only I could keep that opinion steadfast in her mind until she's about 25.
