A Bloggy Makeover

Both of my blogs were given a professional quality face lift! Do you like? I hope so because I love both of them.

The new look is by the fabulously talented “Mommy” from the fun blog I’ve Changed my Name to Mommy. Working with the creative and kindhearted “Mommy” was fun and easy. Please check her out. She gave me a free makeover in order to practice her new craft as she starts her own design business, but worked on my blogs like I was paying oodles of moola.

In other news...today we are not faring so well. I was very sick this morning and even missed my hair appointment. Fortunately, Napp was home so he took care of Xylie while Zayden napped. Now that Zayden is awake, Napp is napping. It's days like today when I really super miss the babysitting co-op I co founded in Corpus. I'm plugging away though and am still in some minor pain but hanging on.

Xylie acts so grown up when I am ill. She runs to the rescue and even gave me some imaginary medicine as I was on the floor writhing in pain during one of what we call my "Episodes." For those of you who know me well, you have experienced my episodes. For those of you who don't, it is hard to explain. I get these horrible labor (and I can say that because I've birthed two babes without any pain medication) like pains for no apparent reason. We have not consistently linked the eps to diet, stress, or anything womanly. They have lessened throughout the years and decreased as well, but the one I had today was excruciatingly painful and honestly now that it is over, I feel like I felt after I had my kids, exhausted and sore. Weird, no? I've seen lots of Dr.s and been to ER's more times than I can count, but no one has come up with a good reason. The one that may ring true is ovarian cysts that burst. Lovely.

Little Z-man is getting so big! He's on the verge of walking. I'd say by month 13 if not before. His birthday is in less than two-weeks. Xylie is his official party planner. How cute is that? Little Zayden is starting to talk. He says Bye-bye. Go. Bath. Duck. Quack quack. Tickle (so cute he says ticka, ticka, ticka when he tries to tickle Xylie). He also says, awwwww, when giving hugs, roars when pretending he's a lion whoo's gonna get you, and broooooom, broooooom, while pushing toy cars..

Hopefully, tomorrow we can go to the Flowertown festival after church. We're really looking forward to it. Well, Xylie and I are. Napp will probably stay home and get some peace and quiet and rest his back. He's still unable to attend church because he cannot sit for more than a short time.

The weather here has been warm, but rainy. We need the rain and last summer was dry so I'm not complaining, but I wish it would come early in the morning or late at night so our days would be spent outdoors in the sunshine.

I am going to do this comment in the form of a list:
~I like your new blog look on both blogs.
~I am sorry you have been sick. I hope you are getting better soon.
~I had pain very similar to that in high school and college. It was ovarian cysts. I even passed out from pain once during class changes in 11th grade. They put me on birthcontrol which helped, but I wasn't so great about remembering to take those little pills so they messed me up. (I think my mom was glad to see I wasn't worried about making sure I took them b/c she knew it meant I was being a good girl, if you know what I mean. . lol) I had exploratory sugery after I got married that showed endometriosis too. I did enjoy some pain meds in child birth, but I still felt a good bit of pain as I labored, and those cysts were just as bad. I haven't had the pain at all since I had Hannah, though. I will be praying for your "episodes." The Lord recently completely healed one of my best friends from the pain of cysts after some friends prayed over her.
~We are hoping to go the the Flower Town festival after church too. I can't believe I have lived in SC my entire life and never been.
~Just so you know, "normal" Charleston Summer weather is a sunny, hot hot day followed by a soaking afternoon shower and then the sun comes back out. Last summer wasn't typical b/c of the drought. My yard is very thankful for these April showers.
~Finally, I am sorry this comment has been so painfully long! :)
