X-Factor was quite entertaining during our dinner conversation this evening. Mrs. N was telling her the story of how she and Dr. N first met. After describing their first encounter, she continued, "and then...." X-Factor then finished the sentence, "you went on a play date?" That's right little one, Mommy and Daddy went on a play date.
Later, Dr. N was complaining about the tomato sauce stains on her shirt. X-Factor countered, "I saw on TV, you can get this Kaboom, and you put some in the wash, and it comes out all white." Maybe you've been watching too much TV, little one. Hmmm? On second thought, have you considered a career as a pitchman?

Easter Weekend 2009
We have had a lovely Easter weekend and day! The pictures are in reverse order. On Friday, they painted eggs and then went to an Easter Party at Chick-Fil-A. Then on Saturday, I took them to an egg hunt. Z-man wanted to examine each egg as soon as he picked it up. For us, Easter Sunday is all about Jesus. We got ready for church and took a few photos. You'll notice that Z-man has a large egg shaped bruise on his sweet noggin. X-Factor was balancing along a rail and Z wanted to try it as well...but instead of first gaining balance...he stood up...ran...and then fell face first on the side walk before I could catch him. It was awful, but he seems to be recovering well.
Happy Easter to all of you...what a glorious reminder of the joy we should carry in our hearts every day--_Christ is Risen!!

I've got nothing
The kids were coloring together while I was getting some work finished. Then, I heard X-Factor announce, "I'm so glad I found these markers to open, they make coloring even more fun."
With red flags flashing within, I walked to the living room. X had colored a lovely picture of strawberry shortcake with some new washable markers. I turned my head to see Z-man sitting on his daddy's recliner with his nose buried in a book. I smiled and just as I was saying the words, "Z, I am so glad you did not find the markers," He put down the book and the following site left me speechless. There is a great caption somewhere in the first two pictures, but I've got nothing. What about you? Can you help me come up with a clever caption?

My Day In Numbers
Not complaining...just fact stating.
Today I have:
A body temperature of 100.5 Or, simply stated, 1 fever.
2 sick children at home
1 sick husband at work
1 raging headache
1 queasy stomach
1 clingy two-year-old who is over his required breathing treatments
14 dirty dishes in my sink
35 clean dishes in my dishwasher
28 books on the living room floor that Z-man knocked off the book shelf
2 unmade beds
1 fairly empty refrigerator
3 writing deadlines
and despite it all....
An uncountable number of blessings.
1 Peter 1:8 (New International Version)
8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

Friday Randomness-Wonder from Where She Gets Her Flair?

Andrea from Under Grace & Over Coffee has started this Friday Randomness Fun. Random is good.
Earlier this week, I downloaded some adorable pictures taken of X-Factor when she was clowning around for the camera. Then, last night, I tried to style my hair in a new way for a date with Dr. N. It didn't turn out as planned and I ended up looking like an electrocuted Farah Fawcet...only with shorter hair. Being a blogger, I couldn't resist snapping some photos. But I have some issues...when a camera is placed in my hands and pointed toward me...I cannot stop snapping. Not sure why I have this obsession, because I look at all the pictures I take and think, "What a goof," "I swear my eyes do not look this freaky in person," and "What is up with all those chins?"
As I downloaded the pictures of me, I looked at the photos taken of X-Factor and busted a gut. So many times people ask me, "Where does she get her flair." Here is proof that it comes to her naturally, although she pulls it off better than her dear old mom!
Also to add to the randomness and to make my sister (who would have caught this anyway) smile...look at this close up of my lips...apparently I still cannot properly apply lipstick.Moving on...
