The Reach Access Flosser

This is our first Works for Me Wednesday, sponsored by Rocks in My Dryer. We're starting off with an unpopular subject of sorts. Flossing. Honestly, I was never much of a flosser. I just forgot to do it. However, my flossing life changed forever when I met this handy dandy item: The Reach Access Flosser.

The first week I discovered this flosser, I used it twice a day. To my defense, my braces had been removed earlier that week and any type of flossing without threading would have felt heavenly. I've since cut back and floss 3-4 times a week. Dr. N. flosses more often as well.

The flosser enables one to easily floss between those hard to reach back teeth. It is true, that the flosser costs more than a pack of traditional floss, but the ease pays for itself in the end. My dentist told me that the flosser refills can be reused if rinsed with with mouth wash.

To help turn the X-Factor into a star in the oral hygiene department, we bought her a similar flossing item: animal shaped flossing picks. She loves them and can floss by herself with ease.

I hate flossing. I'll have to look for this gadget.

I use the cheapoest version of this same thing. I'm pretty bad though and we just reuse it over and over until it shreds. We just rinse after each use (the same way we do with the toothbrushes). Can't imagine flossing kids' teeth without it!

Good idea. I was wondering if those really worked. Thanks for the tip!

As a (head down in shame) twice per YEAR flosser, I think I might have to pick up your idea and run with it! Whatever works to make me do it, you know? Thank you for the push! :)

My husband uses these, it's the only thing that gets him to floss. I still prefer the regular floss just because I don't feel like I have total control over the floss with these. I'm totally afraid of it gouging into my gums. Silly, I know!

I'm so glad you posted about flossing! I was not much of a flosser, but I do brush religiously. Well, it can catch up with you one day. Just ask me, I'm having gum therapy in 2 weeks to remove plaque build-up underneath the gum (from lack of flossing).

Welcome to WFMW!
