And the losing streak continues

Z-man had a fever last weekend and seemed to have recovered quickly. He had a bit of a runny nose and cough, but nothing out of the norm. However, last night, his cough startled me. It was deep and crackely. I called his Ped today and they worked him in at 3 pm. Getting there was a challenge because I'm not suppose to drive my car. I was tempted to drive anyway, because my mommy-radar shot through the roof...I knew something was wrong with my baby. Fortunately, our sweet MOPS mentor, Kris, and her husband, picked us up and took us to the doc and then to the pharmacy.

Z-man has pneumonia! I'm a bit shaken, but the doc said it isn't serious. The entire visit was annoying. I'm not one to rant, but I will share with you that this pediatrician is of the condescending variety. When I told him Z-man's symptoms, he basically responded that I was overreacting and that my little guy just had some post nasal drip. However, he changed his mind when he listened to Z-man's chest.

Sweet Z-man, who by the way asked for a banana this morning ("Nana!!"), is taking an antibiotic and a cough medicine. We'll be staying home for the rest of the week except for a short trip to the mechanic.

All that written, I can see God's hand of protection in this. I cannot go into detail now, but I'll tell you why next Monday.

Gracious - it has been a trying week and it is only Tuesday. I hope Z-Man is up and at 'em very soon. And I hope that through all this you find some needed rest also. Give him kisses for me.
