I am so behind this week and almost forget to put in a Fro Me to You, the weekly Thursday Meme from We Are That Family. This week, a lucky winner will get an Atari. No, I kid not and it's not a joke prize either....but I'm going to make you go to Kristen's site to learn more. Not because I'm mean, but because I'm tired and you need to visit her site.
This pic is small and not so easy to see, but the taller, bikini clad gal is me and the beauty in pink is my younger sister Maranda. It's probably early 80"s and I'm pretty sure we're at VA Beach. If not, than it's somewhere in NJ. We loved going to the beach. Our mom, who has a fun streak would sometimes wake us up at 3 am and pack us and a cooler in the car and drive 4 hours to the "shore." We'd then have breakfast on the boardwalk and spend the day on the beach. Great memories.

What a cute shot! We went to the beach a lot as kids, but my hubby didn't. He LOVES the beach now and plays, just like a kid!

My Grandma used to drive us that far to the beach and we would listen to Mr. Denver both ways...oh the memories!

Oooh! What a cool mom! I'm gonna have to settle for being the kind of mom who wakes the kids up at 9 and heads to the beach for lunch! :P Since I'm a late sleeper...and God blessed me with a baby that sleeps til 8!! It would be a crime to wake that baby up.

what a great memory! I used to do fun stuff like that with my older two..before I got old and cranky..
Oh how fun! Not the getting up at 3:00, but the spontaneous beach trips. :o)
What a great mom story. I love sleep way too much to do something fun like that for/with my kids. Instead I take them later in the mid-day heat and forget the sunscreen and get them burned. Such a cute photo on the banner up there.
Love beach shots, and you guys are dolls! My dad would wake us up that early to go to the lake. My sisters were always excited. I had to be drug along.

Oh. What wonderful memories you must have. We never went to the beach when I was young though we lived only a couple hours away.
