At age four, the X-Factor is already preparing for her life as a teenager. She slams doors, could talk on the phone for hours, and has a sassy tongue. I'm trying to stay on top of these things.
Today, while playing on the porch, she forgot to close the door and two flies zoomed inside. Frustrated with the situation, I barked, "Close the door."
She replied in a sing-song sassy tone, "OhhhhKaaaay, thanks for telling me....maybe next time you can ask a little bit nicer...close." (It was one of those moments that without audio, doesn't necessarily transfer nicely to blog.)
As I started walking toward the porch, I instead sat at the computer desk and laughed. There was just something about the haughtiness in her voice that I found more funny than disrespectful.

I can hear EXACTLY how it sounded because my THREE year old has started that with me. She is 3 going on 13... Lord help me.
LOL
I tell you, everytime I think about me and Monty going for baby #2 the thought of a girl creeps into my mind. They are TOTALLY different than boys! And if I have one who is 1/10 as sassy as I was....oh man!!!
I know that tone of voice well!!! :)
