Yesterday, the X-Factor made a stunning declaration. "I don't like cleaning up all these toys! I don't want any more toys. I have too many toys."
While her epiphany rang as good news to me, I thought that after she finished cleaning up her room, she'd have a new attitude. Not so. When X-Factor makes up her mind...it's made and unlikely to change.
The grandmothers, Nina and Nannie, are responsible for 95% of the toys in this home, and since neither live close by, they often send care packages.
This morning, my mom (Nina) called and told the X-Factor that she was sending her another box. Normally, X-Factor cheers upon learning that a parcel it on its way to her door, but today she stood firm in her resolve.
"Noooooo. I have too many toys!"
I almost fell over to hear those words come from my daughter's mouth.
She wants to simplify. I love it.
Another cute X-Factor story is that she absolutely loves the Stephen Curtis Chapman song, Cinderella. She asks me to play it from the computer (You Tube) several times a day. She knows all the lyrics and even made up her own routine to the song, which has her running away at the very end.
Precious.

That is so cute!
Do you think she could come over and have a chat with my girls? Seriously, I love her determination! She is just too precious for words.
Both precious stories about your precious girl.
I can just picture the dance routine in my mind...and I am laughing too. Love you guys!
Sure Monica, We'd love to come to Germany! :-)
Good for her! My girl has finally been realizing the problem of "stuff".
Somedays I'd like to bulldoze this place and just start over!
