Before the Olympics started this summer, I had vowed not to watch. I have issues with it being held in a country with a government that abuses human rights as viciously as does China. However, when married to a man who does not share those convictions...and with the Olympics being watched by him several hours a day, I caved. I'm a sucker for a good gymnastics routine. I know, some of my convictions run deeper than others. Now before you call me shallow, please know that some good arguments have been made in the defense of the Olympics being held in China...so I'm a bit on the fence regarding this issue...but I digress because this post is not suppose to be about me and my political views.
Like her daddy, the X-Factor has caught Olympic fever and has marveled over many events. Like her mommy, she loved watching Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin gracefully and energetically bound through air.
For the X-Factor, the Olympics are not limited to T.V. She competes in her own Olympic events daily. She makes her bed and I judge the performance to see if she won the gold, silver or bronze. She has also had a blast racing to beat France and China in the toy clean up competition. It's been fun. I love to see her complete her chores joyfully while commenting, "Ohhh, I better hurry, French is catching up!"

Oh, I love the cleaning race against France and China...maybe I need to start watching the Olympics with my girls.
Oh that is HYSTERICAL! "France is catching up". HAHAHAHAHAH!
You get the GOLD for sitting with you husband and joining in - it's my opinion that by doing so, you've honored him.
That is such an excellent way to get the kids to step it up and get things done with some speed! Great job! :)
~ I am having a giveaway so pop over and enter in!
We are enjoying the Olympics too and Moodle can even do a forward roll (she isn't even 2!)and Bubbs is constantly doing 'athletics'....
