I am sure that my title gives away my status...tired and not very creative at the moment.
Here are just a few random updates --
- In a 24 hour period, Z-Man acquired three bruises that include a two-inch black and blue mark on his forehead, a scratch on the side of his head from an attempt to run down a sliding board, and a skinned knee.
- I found a scorpion in my kitchen. Apparently they are common here, but not of the deadly variety.
- A group of honey bees nested outside our front door, but they have been relocated
- C-Mae managed to sneak outside and spent an entire afternoon exploring the local woods. Her owners had no clue she was missing.
- I have discovered making loose-leaf tea from Tea Traditions....FABULOUSO
- The staff members here at the apartment complex are friendly and even filled up some balloons with helium for us.
- Z-man is obsessed with balloons. We tried just getting balloons and filling them up with air, but they don't do the trick. Only helium balloons will satisfy our little boy. Goodness gracious...this family already had a coffee snob, not it has a tea snob and a balloon snob.
- I am seriously thinking about purchasing one of those cheap helium machines.
- The X-Factor loves having her own room, but misses her little bro at night time
- We are all loving having lots of space
- There are five grocery stores within a 2 mile radius of our home
- Yesterday I tool the kids for a walk to our local McDonald's. Had it not been 97 degrees outside, the walk up an enormous hill would not have been so tough. Coming home was much easier.
- We met some potential friends at the McD's. Despite my sweaty disheveled appearance, a woman, who had three kids of her own talked with me. The kids all played well together and her little girl (6 or 7 ) has a similar personality to the X-factor.
- Dr. N's mom helped us with the move and stayed for a few days. It was nice having some extra help with getting things organized...or at least starting the process of organization.

Glad to hear you guys are getting settled. I mapped it - you are 256 miles away. I think I see some Benadryl for Bugster and a road trip!! hee hee
Glad to hear y'all are settling in.
Sounds like things are going well. Can't wait to set up a date now that you are closer. Glad you are enjoying the tea!
I'm glad to hear that you are getting settled!
I only drink loose leaf tea from a local shop here;) It's the best!
Sounds great!!! We have wasps in our windows and have since we moved in 2 years ago. I cannot wait to get rid of these old windows and get those snazzy new ones!!!!!!
Glad to hear it is going well and you are getting settled in. Thanks for the update!
Good to hear from you guys. Praying for a smooth transition. Take care, Julie
Yea!!! It sounds like the growing pains of moving haven't been too bad for you. Glad you are finding many reasons to love your new location.
I am so glad to hear that you are getting settled in! I lived in a two bedroom apt. when my girls were babies (during my husband's first deployment) and I have great memories of that time. We were right in the middle of town, but I don't think we had quite as many grocery stores at our disposal as you do.
oooh, when i lived in GA there was a fabulous tea bar and that's how i cut my teeth on loose-leaf tea! yum... i hope our move happens as well as yours seems to be going. i am up at midnight b/cs i spent my LO's naptimes packing, so... yeah...
Sounds like the move has gone really well. I'm so pleased for you and hope you enjoy
