Having grown three sizes larger in less than a year, let's just say my Fall wardrobe is lacking. Further evidence? I have one pair of Khaki's, one pair of hideous jeans, a pair of black sweat pants and a pair of black yoga pants. The shirt department has issues as well.
It was cool earlier this week and I decided I'd go for the "fit mommy" look and wear my yoga pants with a light blue cotton top. Noticing that the top was wrinkly and not wanting to mess with the ironing board at 6 am, I reached for my bottle of fabric freshener. A light mist would straighten those creases and who couldn't use a little fabric freshening? "My life is brilliant," I said mentally in my very best James Blunt British accent, which, is perfect when thought and not spoken.
Unfortunately, my hand clutched the bathroom cleaner with bleach and not the fabric freshener I had thought I grabbed. I proceeded to spray myself with the bleach and thought, "That smells odd, I'm not sure I'll be purchasing this brand again!"
Then, the truth struck and sunk into my dense mommy brain that was covered with an extra layer of morning fog only remedied by a cup of coffee.
My life is brilliant.

HAHAHHAHAHHAHA! Oh honey I've had so many brilliant moments it's exhausting. LOL
that is awful! I hate it when I do something like that and I ruin what little clothes I have.
LOL, I can so relate to this post....I hope you didn't burn your skin!

I can't tell you how many times I have "washed" my hair with conditioner or put facial cleanser on my tpothbrush or sprayed something crazy in my hair.
I'm sorry you messed up your shirt!
Oh, dear. Oh, my. I am SOOOOO sorry! Hmmmm....can we pray for miracle healing of bleached clothing? :) I guess not! But I will pray for your brain fog...and you can pray for MINE!
Just checking in on you!
Love and prayers,
Kimberly
I needed a good morning laugh. I am laughing because that would be something I would do. I am sorry to hear you ruined a shirt though, that's not funny when you are working with a limited wardrobe amd budget.
Bummer! I hope your having a good Monday :)
Bah ha ha ha ha ha!! "Brilliance" is bliss, isn't it???
I've done the same thing, only worse: I did it to my hubby! Mike had a stain on his shirt and wanted to pretreat it. I went to grab the shout spray bottle from the closet, but like you, grabbed the bleach-laden bathroom cleaner instead and started spraying his shirt. Luckily we realized what I had done and got it washed out before any harm was done!
No way!!! I have new clothes and I always manage to get grease spots on them (usually cooking oil).
I have tons of those "perfect when thought but not spoken" moments. lol And by the way...
Thanks for stopping by, and following, my blog, I really appreciate it!

OH NO! I would do something like that too! And that just lessened your fall wardrobe by a pair of pants! OH NO!
