After we left the H. Family Farm last Saturday, we passed through Macon, Georgia and stopped at Barnes And Noble to see Mike Huckabee. Most of you already know that Dr. N and I campaigned for Huckabee during the primaries and even went to an event in S.C.
Macon is about 2.5 hours from the farm and on the way there, this tired mama fell asleep! When we arrived, my hair was matted, eyeliner smeared, and my breath was almost as nasty as it was at seven that morning when I first rolled out of bed.
As Murphey's law would have it, my cosmetic case complete with toothbrush and paste was buried deep within the trunk and I could find neither a mint or a piece of gum. So...I rinsed out my mouth with water, bought my book, clamped my mouth tight and stood in line with about 400 others to see Mike.
While I was in line, Dr. N was entertaining the kids in the children's area...it was a nice set up.
As my turn approached, I asked the woman behind me if she would take my picture. She agreed, but the line was moving so quickly that she captured on Huckabee, his cute assistant, and my hand in the picture. Perhaps that was a good thing. My hand is in the lower left corner holding a book.
