Here is my follow up to the Least Annoying Kid Shows list. Except for number 1, these are, I think, decent shows for kids, I just hate to sit through them.
- Telletubbies: This one would also qualify for a "So Annoying My Toddler Won't Even Watch It" list. After watching a little bit of an episode, Pumpkindoodle said, "they're kinda creepy." Well said, little one.
- Barney & Friends: "I love you, you love me." No, Barney, I don't love you. You're annoying.
- Caillou: That voice, ugh! I rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard.
- Dora the Explorer: This was also on the "Pumkindoodle's Favorite Kid Shows" list. I love that she helps her learn Spanish, and there are some great lessons. But that repetition can drive an adult nutty.
- Sesame Street: I appreciate the celebrity appearances, such as R.E.M. singing "Furry, Happy Monsters" (which I love, see below). This might even make the Least Annoying Kid Shows list if they were to get rid of a certain giggly red furry monster that will remain unnamed (rhymes with Melmo).
Any shows that you think deserve an honorable mention?

Those are good. My sister, who is now 17, LOVED Barney, and it used to drive me nuts. Brian doesn't like Dora because he says she yells everything.
As much as Elmo's speaking in the third person drives me nuts, I think that The Wiggles along with their three songs about fruit salad should boot SS out of the top five.
Yea - we agree Mrs. N. - I was so afraid Bug would start speaking in third person from all the Elmo he watched (he still does some - ugh!) But yes, the Wiggles are really lame. The fruit salad song, and the chicken with the hiccups song. What is that??? And I know all about them because Bug listens to the show in the morning time while we are getting dressed for work. Yeah, Dr. N. needs to revise and let the Wiggles kick Sesame Street off the list. They shouldn't pay the price for Melmo (that is what Bug calls him by the way)!
And also if this were my list, I may sub Calliou for the Doodle Bops. X doesn't watch the Doodle Bops but she's seen them from time to time and they are freaky as well. Calliou is annoying but I find comfort in the fact that his mommy's voice hints that she's on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
Yo Gabba Gabba has to be the worst kid's show ever! If you haven't seen it, you are blessed!
And about the Wiggles. I agree their show is lame and I really hate to admit the out loud, but dh and I, along with some friends, took Noah and one of his little friends all the way to the state capitol to see them in concert. YIKES!
I have never heard of yo gabba gabba, but it sounds horrid. Another bad one is Hip Hop Harvey...I think it is Harvey.
Yep that sounds about right. Very astute list. My 4 yo likes Dora but I try to get teh channel changed before she comes on.
