Little Green Dress - Fro Me To You
For most little girls, the primo color is pink. My daughter and my little niece both went through an "I Only Wear Pink!" phase. However, when I was a toddler, it wasn't a pink dress that made me feel like a princess. Nope. It was green. Did I know it was the perfect compliment to my matching peepers? Probably not, but my mom did, and that's why she bought the dress. That and because it was adorable. OK, so it screams 70'S! But I loved it, frilly flower choker collar and all.
I can actually remember requesting to wear that lacy frock on many occasions. Oh, the twirling I could so in that dress and my black patent leather Mary Janes. Pay close attention to the sagging lacy tights. Elephant legs. Without further ado, here is a picture of me and my favorite dress from childhood. I was three when the photo was snapped.

Oh this is both horrible and hilarious at the same time. :)
In the words of BareNaked Ladies :
"If I had a million dollars, I'd buy you a green dress.. but not a REAL green dress... that's cruel".
Sooo cute! Love the picture. And I always liked other colors better then pink at that age...now I am all about the pink. Weird.
I used to have some lace tights just like that. I loved the frilly dresses too when I was little, but it was the 80's so the style was different. I remember whenever my dad would come home from a business trip he would bring me a really frilly dress! To bad I don't have a picture to post.
I remember twirling. I wish it were that easy to feel awesomely dressed now--like a million bucks. Just put on something that twirls.
What a great picture! This reminds me of my little green dress when I was three. My sister had a matching one.
You look adorable, but I'm so glad styles have changed!
I think it's cute.
Aww that was a very good choice, I love the color and you looked adorable!!
Twirlability was a major factor in my choice of childhood dresses, too. :-)
I STILL love a skirt/dress that has a good twirl. Too cute!
